The following are frequently asked questions about logging into Sherwin-Williams' applications:
Can my Sherwin User ID and Digital Workplace ID Security Questions be synced?
Unfortunately, they cannot. Your Sherwin User ID security is only for apps like MySherwin; whereas, your Digital Workplace ID security is utilized strictly for Cloud applications using Microsoft Azure SSO.
Why do I have to register for Digital Workplace ID MFA and SSPR (Self-Service Password Reset)?
Microsoft Azure utilizes it's own MFA and SSPR, both of which are secured by only you and not shared with the Company.
How do I change my password?
The "Manage Your Account" link allows you to change your password, challenge questions and challenge response answers. You can change these at any time.
Can I change my Sherwin User ID?
No. In our continued pursuit of Operational Excellence, we have been striving to offer employees a simple and convenient way to access company and personal information electronically. As the amount of information available to SW employees expands with new web services, it becomes increasingly important to keep this information secure, yet simple for employees to access. To accomplish this task and provide the most convenient experience for our employees, SW issues all employees a standard User ID for logging into company web sites.
What is a challenge question and response?
Challenge Questions are special questions that you must answer during the New Account Process (as a first time user). The answers you provide, your Challenge Responses, will be used as a confirmation if you ever need to reset your password. It is important for you to remember which Challenge Questions and the corresponding Challenge Responses you select during the registration process. You are the only source for the data you provide. It is only used to reset your password in the event it is forgotten. Please do not share your Challenge Answers and Challenge Responses with peers or family members.
Can I change my Challenge Question and Response?
Yes, Click the "Manage Your Account" link.
What is a timeout and how long do I have before this occurs?
All secured web sites have a timeout setting. This means your web session will become invalid after a certain period of inactivity. This is a security precaution so that your account cannot be used if you are away from your computer for a period of time. Depending upon the security of the information presented on each website, the timeout settings will vary. Highly-sensitive websites typically timeout after 15 minutes of inactivity.
